Fagradalsfjall Volcano Hike & Blue Lagoon

Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, and witness the Fagradalsfjall volcano in Geldingadalur valley. Although the eruption is finished, it's still stunning to see the new lava fields and craters created by the eruption up close. Your private car will pick you up at you selected location and you’ll then set off from the capital, and enter the mystical landscapes of the Reykjanes Peninsula.

As you travel through this region, you’ll immediately see the volcanism of the area. Jagged lava fields, cone-shaped peaks, and columns of steam from geothermal sites will define your journey to Geldingadalur.

Once you get as close as possible, you’ll disembark from the vehicle and begin your hike to the newly formed lava fields.

The hike takes about from 2 - 4 hours over rough terrain, so be sure to be dressed for the weather, wear warm clothes, gloves, hat.  Bring water, food and decent hiking boots. Hike to the newly erupted side is challenging, thru rough terrain!!!!!

Your guide will let you get as close as is safely possible, and provide you with plenty of time to explore.

 After this breathtaking experience, your guide will lead you back to your vehicle and drive you to Blue Lagoon. Where you can relax for few hours, while your driver waits for you. (2 hours).
